A couple of Sundays ago I was stuck in my house with nothing to do. On TV, I had a chick-flick marathon, golf or “Let’s watch some paint dry” with Bob Vila, and since I had apparently reached the end of the Internet back in 2002, my outlook for entertaining myself was lookinggrim, indeed. Looking back, I suppose I could have done something constructive with my time like paint the bathroom or sort the silverware drawer, but for some reason I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. This was a weekend; a time for relaxation and goofing off for me, and here I was watching Rosanne, because there was nothing better on TV.

But before all you Roseanne fans fire flaming arrows into my abdomen, let me explain that it was the last episode…you know, the most depressing final episode of a television show ever? That’s my reason for being so hard on it. Not gonna explain it, either. Too much of a downer. Let me put it this way: Newhart’s ending made people reconsider an entire series; Roseanne’s final show made them consider suicide.

Anyways, because I was so bored I started to do what any normal weirdo would do…
